W Amman

The W Amman is a unique property located in the heart of Amman, Jordan. From the entrance featuring The Canyon (a breathtaking recreation inspired by the ancient city of Petra) to 5 different venues where you can dine, drink, and relax you can’t really go wrong with choosing the W for your Jordanian holidays.

During our stay, we were upgraded to W suite, an 86sqm suite featuring views of the city and a large living room area, perfect for hosting the best parties in town.

Mesh is the most popular dining restaurant at the W which features international cuisine, and you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a buffet setting with a casual dress code.

ENSÕ is the Asian restaurant at the hotel that offers signature dishes and authentic recipes from Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, including sushi platters and sake to oysters on the half shell in a smart casual setting.

AURA is characterised as ‘never boring, never enough’ by the hotel for a good reason. Aura features a Petra-inspired décor where you can opt for a semi-private lounge for a small group of friends for the best cocktails and tacos in the city.

The Living Room is the welcome venue of the property and the often called ‘place to see and be seen in Amman’ as it is a relaxed environment full of international travellers enjoying the views of Amman while having drinks until 01:00.

AWAY Spa is a great place to spend your time overlooking the city and relaxing. During our stay we opted for the 30-minute massage which was certainly the best option after a long day exploring Petra. The spa also features a Jacuzzi, steam room, and a sauna.

Our personal favourite is the Wet Deck open from 8am till 2 am daily where you can swim during the day and have drinks during the night at the rooftop bar featuring the W’s passion for bold design.

The hotel features 280 rooms including signature suites. For the stay we booked the Wonderful guest room which is the base-level room and were upgraded to the W Larger 1 Bedroom Suite which is a step below the Vice-Presidential suite thanks to Marriott Platinum status. The status benefits also offered the following perks:

2- Early check-in/ guaranteed late check-out (4pm)

3- WIP Access including 2 complimentary drinks daily

4- Complimentary Suite Upgrade

Not only that but the W Amman offers its platinum members the opportunity to choose amongst a dozen of soft perks for which I opted for the 8pm late check out!

Overall, this is a must-visit property that has everything at the tip of your fingertips.
